Step 1-How to Clear Cookies from the Chrome Browser

Cookies are tiny files that your browser stores for a variety of reasons. They can keep you logged into your favourite website instead of demanding you re-enter your password every time you click on a new page. They can keep track of your shopping cart to make sure your favourite items haven't been dumped. They can keep track of how many articles you've read. They can also be used to track your movements from website to website.

Often it makes life more convenient to have cookies enabled, but sometimes it doesn't. Maybe the cookie incorrectly identifies you as someone who borrowed your computer the other day. Maybe you don't like the idea of being followed from site to site. Maybe your browser is misbehaving, and you want to try clearing the cookies as a troubleshooting step.

Step 2-Content or Clear Browsing Data

You've opened up the settings menu. It will open up as if it's a new tab in your Chrome browser, not as a floating window like it does on some browsers.
You may notice that there's no mention of cookies. It's still hidden away. To see more options, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Show advanced settings.

Ok, keep scrolling down. Your advanced options will appear below the basic options.

Now you've got a choice. Do you just want to nuke your cache? In that case, click on Clear browsing data.
Do you want to clear your cookies? Maybe you want to keep some cookies but delete others? You can do that, too. In this case, you'll want to click on the Content settings button.

 



Step 4-Clear All Cookies

If you want to clear all the cookies, just click on the button labeled All cookies and site data . If you want to just clean out a few, or if you just want to find out more information about your cookies, click on the button labeled All cookies and site data. 

Step 5-All Cookies and Site Data

Now you see all cookies currently stored in Chrome. You can click the Remove all button, of course, but you can also scroll through them. Click on the name of a cookie, and it will be highlighted in blue. You'll see a little x to the right. Click it to delete that cookie.
 

You can also use the search box to search for only cookies containing a certain name or from a certain website.
