How To Import Internet Explorer Favorites To Google Chrome
Step 1-Open Your Google Chrome Browser
If you are an Internet Explorer user switching over to Google Chrome, bringing your Favorites along with you may be a priority. Fortunately for you, the Chrome browser makes it easy to import all of your IE Favorites in just a few easy steps. Once imported your IE Favorites are added, in their own folder, to the Bookmarks section of Chrome. This tutorial shows you how it's done.
First, close IE if it is currently running. Next, open your Chrome browser.
Step 2-The Tools Menu
Click on the Chrome "wrench" icon, located in the upper right hand corner of your browser window. When the drop-down menu appears, select the choice labeled Import bookmarks & settings....Step 3-Select Items to Import
and Settings dialog should now be displayed, overlaying your browser window. The second section, labeled Select items to import, contains four items. By default, the checkboxes accompanying each of these items is enabled. Click on the following individual items to remove each one's respective check mark: Search engines, Saved passwords, and Browsing history.
The only check mark remaining should be the one labeled Favorites/Bookmarks.Step 4-Import Bookmarks
You are now ready to import your IE Favorites into Google Chrome. Click on the button labeled Import..
Step 5-Other Bookmarks.
Your IE Favorites should now be successfully imported to Google Chrome. To view them you must first click on the Other bookmarks button, located on the far right hand side of Chrome's Bookmarks BarStep 6-Imported From IE
Chrome's Other bookmarks drop-down menu should now be displayed. To view your newly imported IE Bookmarks, select the Imported From IE sub-menu as shown in the example above.Read Related-
