How to Read Exchange Email on Android Phones?
Yes you can, but there are a few caveats. First, it depends on which phone you have. Some Android phones are too old and run an early enough version of Android that they don't support Exchange email sync. You might still be able to read your Exchange email, depending on your server settings, but the chances are less likely. You'll also lose some features. Improved support of Exchange email came with version 2.2 of Android, otherwise known as Froyo. Early phones, like the T-Mobile G1, will never be upgraded to Froyo.
Secondly, it depends on how your phone has been tweaked by your phone carriers and the device manufacturer. For instance, the DROID 2 and DROID X were modified to remove Android's default Exchange support, so that Verizon could charge for a Corporate Sync account.
You may be able to get around both user interface tweaks and old hardware by using a third-party app like TouchDown by Nitrodesk. It's available in both a trial version and paid full version.
If your phone supports it, you can add Exchange email accounts through the Email app. Your phone may or may not autodetect your Exchange settings, so you may need to contact your IT department or whoever handles your corporate email to find out which settings you need to use to access your email.
